[Islam] Islam and Ego by Nouman Ali Khan

Mashallah, this is exactly what I’m looking for. The basic of applying value of Islam in personal life. I believe, this is also what Rasulullah Salallahu ‘Alaihi Wassalam taught us Muslim/ah. Put aside ego. Religion or faith is something personal, very private, between you and Allah. It’s the habluminallah. But then again, as Muslim we have this duty toward another human beings (habluminannas) to remind them of Allah.

I actually concur with his saying about, we do our best effort and let the result in Allah’s hands. The key of heart is in Allah’s hands. We do our duty for the sake of Allah, and that’s it. Leave the rest to Allah.

Oh, and one more thing, in the question-answer session, I like the way the ustadz treated the Muslima sister. He didn’t stare at her, but listening to her question in respect. Yes, that’s how Islam treat a woman. And the answer of her question was just beautiful. Ah… well, you can check out yourself. 😉

When there’s somebody say something hurtful to you, just keep your distance in respectful way. We don’t cut relations (silaturahim) in Islam, but we may keep our distance with people who hurt us without actually say that to them. It’s a silent kind of advice.

Wow.. that’s, really, new for me. You seriously need amazing self control about this. It’s a challenge, so yes, I MUST master my ego. 😉 Don’t you want the same too, readers?

[Islam] Young Muslim Lecture by Nouman Ali Khan

islamic-parentingMashallah, I really love this ustadz. His lecture in this one is about parenting. He referred Al-Qur’an when it comes to parenting. Especially Q.S. Yusuf.

Good fathers are important to raise good children. Please listen. 🙂

IMHO, fathers are important. Every child needs nurturing father, who able to listen without judging. As Nouman Ali Khan said here, mothers are natural-born-parent. But for fathers, they need to work it out. Well, daddies, that’s your jihad. Be the best father possible for your children. Inshallah, Allah will give you handsome reward in jannah. Aamiin..

And, feel free to subscribe the ICNA channel, who made this lecture possible. Syukran. Barakallah.

[Islam] Learn The Qur’an

I found this interesting, when Ustadz Nouman Ali Khan taught his daughter, Husna, Arabic, in order to learn The Al-Qur’an. There is an important tips he reminded us: When ever you feel it’s getting harder to learn the Qur’an, remember this verse:

And We have certainly made the Qur’an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember? [Q.S. 54. Al-Qamar: 17]

Indeed.

Learning Qur’an is unique, to me personally. For me, Qur’an is so awesome, that at some point, you felt as if it is literally communicating with you. What ever questions you have in mind, you will find it in the Qur’an. Literally. Mashallah. It’s true, the promise of Allah, that Al-Qur’an is the light in the darkness.

And, learning Arabic, in order to understand Qur’an, might be tricky. But, always remember the verse, then Allah will come to the rescue. Trust that. Allah never lie. 🙂

Have fun learning Qur’an. 🙂
