[Review] Me Before You (2016)

Just watched the movie “Me Before You“, starring Emilia Clarke (as Louisa Clark), Sam Claflin (as Will Traynor). It’s a romance comedy, with smart dialogues and sarcasms, which I love.

You see, I rarely watch romantic movie. I didn’t even watch the “legendary” romantic movies Romeo and Juliet, or The Fault in Our Stars. Not because I don’t like them, but because I chose not to watch ’em. Either it’s too cheesy or too depressing. *LOL* It’s just me though..

However, this “Me Before You” movie is rather a complicated story simplified into a sweet love story. It gotten me understanding a new level of love. And some love can go non physical, and still, that can be categorized as a real love.

So, this movie is not about only love, but about life. About decision. About chances. About the one who loves you, giving you THE chance to live well. It got me mixed emotional feelings.

And the last narration by Will Traynor gave me the chill (warning! Spoiler alert!)

Live boldly, Clark. Push yourself. Don’t settle. Wear those stripy legs with pride. Knowing you still have possibilities is a luxury. Knowing I might’ve given them to you has eased something, for me.

So, this is it. You are scored on my heart, Clark. You were, from the first day you walked in, with your sweet smile and your ridiculous clothes, and your bad jokes, and your complete inability to ever hide a single thing that you felt.

Don’t think of me too often. I do not want you getting sad. Just live well. Just, live.

That’s pretty much all I can say about this film. And I really love Emilia Clarke in the role as Louisa Clark. She’s perfect as her.

I say, 5 stars out of 5.

Ah yeah, the pic I screenshot here is my favorite scene on the film. 🙂me-before-you
